Services Penetration Testing

Penetration Testing

Find what can actually be exploited.

Senior-led, adversary-informed security testing across applications, APIs, infrastructure and cloud environments.

We test beyond scanner output to determine how weaknesses can be combined, exploited and used to affect the systems and data that matter. Every engagement is controlled, evidence-driven and aligned to your requirements, constraints and risk.

Discuss Your Requirements

Real attack paths.
Real evidence.
A more secure tomorrow.

What We Test

Comprehensive coverage across the environments and attack surfaces that matter to your organisation.

Tailored to Your Risk

Applications & APIs

Web applications, APIs and supporting services, including authentication, authorization, input processing and business logic.

External & Internal Infrastructure

Exposed and internal systems, networks, services and trust relationships.

Cloud & Identity

Cloud services, permissions, secrets, identity relationships and configuration weaknesses.

Authentication & Access Control

Identity flows, MFA, account recovery, privilege transitions and trust-boundary enforcement.

Business Logic & Workflows

How your application actually works, looking for ways valid functionality can be abused.

High-Risk Scenarios

Testing designed around your critical systems, transactions, roles and failure conditions.

How We Test

A structured approach, adapted to your environment.

Disciplined. Adaptive. Effective.
  1. 01

    Understand

Establish objectives, scope, constraints and success criteria.

  2. 02

    Map

Identify attack surface, roles, data flows and realistic attacker paths.

  3. 03

    Test

Manual techniques, specialist tooling and AI-assisted analysis where it adds value.

  4. 04

    Validate

Confirm exploitability and real-world impact with reproducible evidence.

  5. 05

    Report

Clear findings, technical detail, business context and practical guidance.

  6. 06

    Support

Remediation guidance and retest to verify closure.

More Than Vulnerability Scanning

Automated tools are useful for coverage. They are not the engagement.

Black Bag Security combines automation with human reasoning to investigate attack paths, authorization failures, business-logic weaknesses and environment-specific conditions that scanners alone can miss. Tools accelerate the process. Senior practitioners remain responsible for analysis, validation and conclusions.

Evidence That Engineering Teams Can Use

Technical Findings

Clear description, affected assets, prerequisites, exploit path and impact.

Reproducible Evidence

Requests, responses, screenshots, logs and supporting material.

Risk Context

Severity based on exploitability, exposure and business impact.

Executive Summary

Concise view of what matters and what requires action.

Remediation Guidance

Practical corrective direction for engineering teams.

Retest & Verified Closure

Focused validation with updated evidence.

Engagements Built Around the Requirement

White-box, grey-box or black-box testing — selected according to your objective.

Where source code, architecture, test identities or engineering context are available, we use them when doing so increases assurance. Where the requirement is to understand what an external attacker can discover unaided, we preserve that constraint. Testing can be focused on a release, a particular workflow, a defined environment, a compliance requirement, or a broader security-assurance objective.

Methodology Without Checkbox Testing

Structured where standards help. Adaptive where real systems require it.

Testing plans can be informed by established guidance such as the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide (WSTG), OWASP API Security, PTES and other engagement-appropriate methodologies, while remaining driven by the actual application, architecture, threat model and client requirements.

Test the environment that matters.

Tell us what needs assurance, what cannot be disrupted, and what an attacker must not be able to achieve.

We will build the engagement around those requirements.
